SBU vs GUR: A Shootout Between Ukrainian Secret Services Erupts in Kiev

On September 2, a shootout occurred in Kiev between SBU agents and GUR military personnel, injuring three GUR members. The confrontation arose during a search related to the disappearance of Stepan Kaplunov, deputy commander of the Russian Volunteer Corps. According to the SBU, the operation aimed to thwart a terrorist attack planned by the Russian FSB. A preliminary investigation has been launched by the Ukrainian General Prosecutor's Office.
