Scammers dealing in fake dollars have returned to Bauchi — Police raise alarm

The Bauchi State Police Command has warned traders and foreign exchange dealers about scammers using counterfeit US dollars to defraud people. Two suspects, including a man from Lagos, were arrested this week for dollar-related fraud, with one allegedly stealing over N4 million before assaulting a victim. The police noted that these fraudsters, previously driven away, have returned to the area. They advise the public to use authorized channels like banks and licensed Bureau de Change for currency exchange to avoid falling victim to scams.
