Schools can’t force parents to buy books, uniforms from them — LASG

The Lagos State Government reminded parents and guardians of their consumer rights, stating that schools should not compel them to buy books, uniforms, and stationery directly from the school when equivalent items are available elsewhere. The Lagos State Consumer Protection Agency (LASCOPA) urged parents to report consumer protection concerns and to freely choose where to purchase these items. Parents are encouraged to understand their rights and speak up when issues arise.
