Security Council: Kinshasa seeks strengthened MONUSCO role in next mandate for FDLR disarmament process

The DRC government has officially requested the UN Secretary-General to recommend that MONUSCO be given a role in overseeing the disarmament, demobilization, and cantonment of FDLR during the next Security Council resolution in December 2026.
