The driver who died in an accident in Boussoura has been identified as B. Thiombane, born in 1977 in Thiès and residing in Dakar. He was on a delivery mission to the central market of Sédhiou when he collided with a truck in low visibility conditions caused by thick smoke. The accident resulted in a fire, and despite the rescuers' efforts, he died burned, trapped in his vehicle.
