Senate in Benin: Théodore Holo discusses installation after presidential inauguration

Professor Théodore Holo announced that the Senate of Benin is expected to begin operations after the swearing-in of the elected president on May 24, 2026, with installation possibly in June. He specified that the establishment depends on the designation of its members and the drafting of its internal regulations. Initial activities will take place in Cotonou at a provisional site, while the ceremonial installation may occur in Porto-Novo.
