Ogun launches Nigeria’s first methane reduction hub

Ogun State inaugurated Nigeria’s first hybrid methane-reduction learning hub in Iworo, Ijebu North-East Local Government Area. Officials said the alternative fuels could reduce dangers associated with traditional charcoal and provide income, with plans to expand training across Ogun’s local government areas and offer it online to women in other states. The programme already has 5,890 Women Affinity Groups and more than 199,000 beneficiaries across 11 local government areas in Ogun.
