Senate Session of September 2026: Sama Lukonde Calls to Seize the Opportunity of National Dialogue to Strengthen National Cohesion

Senate President Sama Lukonde urged Congolese citizens to engage in the national dialogue proposed by President Félix Tshisekedi, emphasizing that peace in the Democratic Republic of the Congo relies on strengthening national cohesion. He praised the announcement of the national dialogue on August 27, 2026, and the signing of the ordinance on September 11, 2026, for its organization. Lukonde stressed the importance of grassroots consultations to identify the causes of insecurity and invited those who have distanced themselves from the Nation to return in a spirit of peace.
