Senegal-Mauritania: Joint Patrols to Secure the Northern Border

From April 20 to 24, units from the military zone No. 2 in Saint-Louis conducted joint patrols with Mauritanian forces to enhance security along the border. These operations covered areas such as Diatar, Guédé Oudo, and Nguirdiame, illustrating the bilateral cooperation between Senegal and Mauritania in the face of growing security challenges. The initiative also aims to ensure a deterrent presence for local populations.
