Senegal-Morocco: CAS opts for a “full decision” as the media battle flares up again
After hearing the Senegalese Football Federation, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation and CAF on October 8 in the dispute over the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final, CAS announced that its arbitrators had begun deliberations. They intend to issue a full decision with legal reasoning, and the ruling is expected in late November 2026. On X, Moroccan journalist Izem Anass claimed the decision had already been made and that the delay was for clarifying its clauses, while Senegalese commentator Malang Sané challenged that account. CAS said that only information released through its official channels should be considered official.
