Senegal prepares to host the first Olympic Games on African soil

From October 31 to November 13, about 2,700 athletes aged 15 to 18 will compete in 35 sports at the Youth Olympic Games. Events will take place in Dakar, Diamniadio and Saly. Thomas Dieme says the Games will give Senegal and Africa a chance to discover new sports, including skateboarding, while Rose Faye is delighted to see the event held in her country of origin. The opening ceremony is scheduled for Saturday.
