Senegal: The electoral code bill adopted by parliamentarians

The National Assembly of Senegal adopted a bill amending the electoral code, with 128 votes in favor, 11 against, and 2 abstentions. This law introduces a maximum duration of five years for disqualifications from voter registration and repeals Article L.30, deemed too broad in defining disqualification cases. The text will be sent to the President for promulgation and will come into effect for the next elections.
