Heat is expected to persist across much of Senegal overnight from October 15 to 16, 2026, with elevated temperatures in the north and center. Dakar is forecast to be around 28°C at 10 p.m., then cool gradually overnight. Friday’s highs could reach 40°C in Matam and Podor, 39°C in Kaffrine, and 38°C in Bakel, Diourbel, and Louga. Morning lows are forecast at 23°C in Fatick and Kédougou and 27°C in Kaolack and Saint-Louis, while Ziguinchor and Cap-Skirring may see more clouds and a slight chance of rain.
