Dakar will host the Youth Olympic Games for the first time in Africa from October 31 to November 13, 2026, followed by the Biennale of Contemporary African Art from November 19 to December 19. These events provide Senegal with the opportunity to reinvent itself and showcase its hospitality to the world. The country must prepare by improving its infrastructure and making public spaces welcoming for visitors. This period could also encourage Senegalese people to rediscover the joy of living in their country.
