September 15 Protests: C64 Reports Nearly 90 Activists Released in Haut-Katanga

Nearly 90 activists from the Coalition of Article 64 (C64) were released after being detained during the September 15 protests in Haut-Katanga. Aubin Kasongo, the C64 spokesperson, reported that 50 protesters were released in Lubumbashi, 19 in Likasi, and 20 in Kasumbalesa. The mobilization aimed to contest any initiative to change the Constitution, despite local authorities banning public demonstrations. Additionally, around twenty injuries were reported in Lubumbashi, including one woman in critical condition.
