Shariah Council urges rule of law in El-Rufai’s detention

The Supreme Council for Shariah in Nigeria has urged authorities to respect the rule of law regarding the detention of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai. Secretary-General Nafiu Baba Ahmad expressed concerns about the circumstances of El-Rufai's detention and the challenges in meeting his bail conditions. The council emphasized that all citizens, including El-Rufai, have fundamental rights and must be afforded due process.
