Shelter Afrique Development Bank (ShafDB) unveiled a new logo and brand identity during its 45th Annual General Meeting in Rabat, Morocco, presided over by Morocco's Minister of Economy and Finance, Nadia Fettah. CEO Thierno-Habib Hann stated that the rebranding goes beyond a name change, transforming the institution's operational framework into a fully-fledged multilateral development bank focused on housing and urban development across Africa. The bank, with 44 member countries, aims to address affordable housing challenges through innovative financing solutions and strategic partnerships.

Tony Elumelu takes over Seplat Energy as chairman

Tony Elumelu, chairman of United Bank of Africa and billionaire investor, becomes chairman of Seplat Energy effective January 1, 2027. Current CEO Roger Brown will retire on July 31, 2026, and will be succeeded by veteran oil executive Effiong Okon as CEO from August 1, 2026.
