Ships purchased for 15 million dollars unsuitable for the country's waters

The Democratic Republic of Congo purchased ships for 15 million USD that are deemed unsuitable for Congolese waters. Minister of Fisheries Jean-Pierre Tshimanga Buana revealed that the tender did not account for local realities, preferring trawlers while seines were ordered. The ministry clarified that constraints such as the lack of a cold chain and the characteristics of the maritime coast were not adequately considered.
