Shocks in the suburbs: Police arrest the president of Guédiawaye FC supporters

Raphaël François Mendy Diatta, known as « Bobé », president of the supporters of Guédiawaye Football Club, was arrested on Wednesday evening in Ndiarème-Limamoulaye. He was charged with rebellion, violence, and assault against law enforcement officers and was placed in custody on October 9, 2026, awaiting his trial scheduled for October 16. During the police operation, he allegedly caused a distraction by violently intervening, allowing drug traffickers to escape while abandoning their illegal goods, and then resisted arrest during the police attempt to detain him.
