Sierra Leone receives first group of West African deportees from US

The first flight carrying nine migrants from the United States arrived at Freetown International Airport in Sierra Leone. Among the deportees, five are from Ghana, two from Guinea, one from Senegal, and one from Nigeria. Foreign Minister Timothy Musa Kabba stated that the government has agreed to receive these migrants for about 90 days, supported by a $1.5 million grant from the US government to cover humanitarian and operational costs related to this agreement.
