Six dead from cholera in 24 hours in the Kasongo health zone

The Kasongo health zone in Maniema province reported six deaths from cholera in just 24 hours, among 35 notified cases. The chief medical officer, Dr. Mubwana Zamuda Byza, identified several affected health areas, including Kachura and Kauta Demufala. He also reported a lack of resources for the response, with many cases being managed in the community, increasing the risk of disease spread.
