Six months into the Iran war, a new Gulf security architecture is emerging

Six months into the war with Iran, Gulf states are reassessing their security approach. The June 2025 Iranian attack on Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar revealed the vulnerability of critical infrastructures. Traditionally reliant on U.S. security, Gulf states are beginning to consider more integrated and autonomous cooperation in response to current threats.
