Slam in Kinshasa: "Minzoto", a constellation to structure poetic creation

The Minzoto collective, launched in April 2026 in Kinshasa by poet-slameur Olivier Tshiteya, brings together 21 poets focused on regular artistic creation. The name "Minzoto" means "stars" and symbolizes a constellation of artists forming poetic figures. The collective aims to promote discipline and consistency in writing and performing slam poetry, viewing each artist as a star. Olivier Tshiteya, the project's initiator, seeks to develop the Congolese slam scene and strengthen the local artistic community through this initiative.
