A study found that sleeping an extra hour or two on weekends can reduce the risk of high blood pressure. Presented at the European Society of Cardiology's annual congress in Munich, the study followed 40,727 adults in South Korea from 2016 to 2023. The results indicate that moderate weekend lie-ins of about one hour and 37 minutes can decrease the chances of hypertension by 9%.
