Sokoto govt shuts mosque after attack on cleric, sets up probe panel

The Sokoto State Government has formed a committee to investigate the attack at Sheikh Musa Lukuwa Jumu’at Mosque, where the cleric was stabbed. The mosque is now closed and treated as a crime scene. The government also urged residents to refrain from making inciting statements that could threaten peaceful coexistence in the state.
