₦50,000 Relief Fund: FG Explains How Beneficiaries Will Be Selected

Nigeria’s federal government plans to give ₦50,000 to selected poor and vulnerable households through the National Emergency Relief and Stabilisation Intervention, run by the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction. The grant can be withdrawn through a POS agent or at a bank, or spent directly from the wallet through providers including ALAT, MoMo, NairaGram, OPay and Moniepoint. The government says people cannot apply individually or pay to be included, and warns recipients not to give money or banking details to fraudsters.
