Somali pirates killed five crew members on hijacked tanker, officials say

Somali pirates killed five crew members aboard the oil tanker MT Honour 25, which was hijacked off the coast of Somalia, before security forces rescued the ship. The deaths, including three Pakistanis, one Myanmar, and one Indian, were announced by Puntland authorities. Four other crew members were injured during the rescue operation, which also resulted in the capture of 16 suspected pirates. These are the first deaths caused by Somali pirates in over a decade amid a resurgence of piracy off Somalia.
