Somalia: Somaliland MP Urges Elon Musk's X to Recognize Somaliland Identity

Somaliland MP Hon. Abdilahi Mohamed Ahmed has called on Elon Musk and the platform X to address the lack of digital recognition for Somaliland. He pointed out that Somaliland users are required to select Somalia when verifying their identity, which does not reflect their national identity. The MP also noted that Somaliland, which reclaimed its independence in 1991, has an active online community and is seeking fair digital inclusion.
