Somalia strengthens Ebola readiness through simulation exercise

Somalia has strengthened its Ebola response capabilities through a three-day simulation exercise in Mogadishu, supported by the World Health Organization. Seventy participants tested coordination between federal and state authorities, as well as notification pathways and risk communication. The exercise identified gaps in reporting lines and point-of-entry arrangements, providing opportunities for improvement before a real event.
