Somalia: Violent clashes in Mogadishu

Heavy gunfire, explosions, and mortar attacks shook Mogadishu overnight from Wednesday to Thursday, causing panic in several neighborhoods. Security forces conducted a large-scale operation against heavily armed militias accused of attacks in residential areas.
