Sonatel Condemned by the Commercial Court, Magatte Sylla to Receive a Large Payout

The Commercial Court of Dakar has ordered Sonatel to pay 119.1 million CFA francs in interest to Magatte Sylla and his company Interface SAS in a patent infringement case. The 'Beinday' technological process was allegedly used without authorization in the 'My Business Wifi' offer. In February 2023, Sonatel had already been ordered to pay 1.1 billion CFA francs for lost profits and damages. Interface SAS has initiated seizures on Sonatel's bank accounts to recover the amounts.
