SOS from merchants affected by fire in Bukavu

Nearly 80 business operators from the Kadutu market in Bukavu are unemployed following a fire on September 6, 2026. A gallery of 66 doors housing shops and four storage facilities was completely destroyed. The merchants, whose goods were burned, are calling for assistance from the state and humanitarian organizations. This incident has also left around a hundred families homeless.
