South Africa: Malawians await repatriation

Hundreds of foreign nationals, mainly from Malawi, await repatriation after a wave of xenophobic violence in South Africa. Migrants have been intimidated, threatened, and physically attacked by groups demanding their departure by June 30, a date widely shared on social media but with no official basis. Five Mozambicans have been killed in the violence, and about 300 Mozambicans have crossed the border to return home. Ghana is also affected by this crisis.
