South Africa: More HIV Funding Cuts Are Coming For South Africa.

South Africa's National Aids Council has requested local drug companies to apply for making generic versions of lenacapavir, an anti-HIV jab. The Global Fund to Fight Aids, Tuberculosis and Malaria will start cutting its grant support in two years, with a 25% reduction in the upcoming funding cycle, dropping from approximately $464 million to about $345 million. Key populations, such as sex workers and gay men, will be most affected by these cuts, as the government has yet to approve a plan to integrate these services into public clinics.
