South Africa: rising anti-migrant violence worries

A wave of anti-migrant violence hit Mossel Bay in southern South Africa, killing at least two Mozambicans and displacing hundreds. The attacks followed a protest accusing foreigners of taking local jobs. Nearly 600 Mozambicans have already left the area, while other migrants remain in shelters under police protection. Several African countries have started repatriating their nationals as the situation worsens.
