The trial of Thabo Bester and Nandipha Magudumana has been postponed to April 19, 2027. Bester's legal team raised concerns about prison conditions and access to a laptop for his defense preparation. Bester, a convicted murderer and rapist, and Magudumana face charges related to his escape from Mangaung Correctional Centre in May 2022, after allegedly faking his death in a cell fire.
