South African president promises to better control irregular immigration

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa promised on Sunday to take measures to address growing concerns over illegal immigration, amid rising anti-immigrant protests and accusations of xenophobic violence. Hostile groups have set a June 30 ultimatum for irregular foreigners to leave the country and demand talks with the government. South Africa has seen similar violence in the past.
