South Kivu: 30 Years After Lemera Massacres, Denis Mukwege Reiterates Call for Transitional Justice for Victims

Nobel Peace Prize laureate 2018, Denis Mukwege, has reiterated his call for transitional justice for victims of the October 6, 1996, Lemera massacre in Uvira, South Kivu, carried out by AFDL rebels. The UN report states that 37 people, including patients and medical staff, were killed.
