Southern Bypass, Ngong Road to Temporarily Close on Sunday for Cycling Race

Major roads in Nairobi, including the Southern Bypass, part of Ngong Road at Lenana Interchange, and the Uhuru Gardens-Carnivore stretch, will be closed for 14 hours on Sunday, September 27, 2026, for the Jubilee Live Free Race 2026. The main race covers 77.8 km over two loops, with additional races for paracyclists and a 20 km Family Fun Ride starting and ending at Uhuru Gardens. Motorists are advised to plan their routes in advance and allow extra time to avoid delays caused by the closures.
