Southport killer accused of throwing boiling water mixed with sugar at prison officer

Axel Rudakubana, a 20-year-old killer, appeared in court accused of throwing boiling water mixed with sugar at a prison officer at HMP Belmarsh. He faces charges of attempted grievous bodily harm, along with other assaults on prison officers and possession of an offensive weapon. Rudakubana is serving a life sentence for murdering three children during a dance class attack in Southport in July 2024.
