Sowore alleges Tinubu aide and in-law were behind his attack in Ekiti

Omoyele Sowore, presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), accused Sunday Asefon, an aide to President Bola Tinubu, and one of Tinubu’s in-laws of arranging the attack on him in Ekiti State. In a statement posted Monday on his verified X account, he said suspected political thugs had been mobilized to silence him over his criticism of the government. Sowore said the attack was intended to intimidate him and prevent him from speaking out against bad governance. He urged the inspector general of police and other security agencies to investigate; Asefon had not responded by the time of publication, and Sowore did not explain the basis for his claim.
