Soyinka rejects ‘Secret Cult’ tag on Pyrates

Nobel Laureate Prof. Wole Soyinka dismissed public perceptions labeling the National Association of Seadogs, also known as Pyrates Confraternity, as a secret cult. During the foundation-laying ceremony for the group's new national secretariat in Abuja, he emphasized that the organization is a transparent entity involved in humanitarian and advocacy work. Soyinka also criticized the persistence of misinformation and double standards in public perception of organized groups.
