S&P forecasts 3.5% growth for Cameroon and budget and current deficits of 2.5% and 4.4% in 2026

S&P Global Ratings has downgraded its economic growth forecast for Cameroon in 2026 to 3.5%. The budget and current deficits are now projected at 2.5% and 4.4% of GDP. This revision is attributed to a significant contraction in the hydrocarbons sector and disappointing performances in agriculture, manufacturing, agro-industry, and construction.
