« Space is not for the wealthy » declares Dr. Tidiane Ouattara at ASPEX 2026

Dr. Tidiane Ouattara, president of the African Space Agency, stated at ASPEX 2026 that space belongs to everyone and should not be reserved for the wealthy. He emphasized that existing space infrastructure supports many daily services such as telecommunications and social media. He called for training young people and establishing Ivorian space companies to create jobs and wealth, stressing the importance of seizing opportunities in digital and space sectors. He also introduced his three books to share his vision and experience in the field.
