Spain refers LaLiga chief to tribunal over Real Madrid Nazi comments

Spain’s National Sports Council referred LaLiga president Javier Tebas to the Administrative Court for Sport to assess whether his comments about Real Madrid’s communication tactics breached rules on sporting dignity. On October 16, Tebas compared the club’s tactics to propaganda used by Joseph Goebbels, following Real Madrid’s complaints about refereeing and its television coverage of match officials. The club demanded Tebas’s resignation, while he said he was referring to propaganda techniques, not Nazi ideology or Real Madrid supporters. The tribunal will decide whether to open disciplinary proceedings; no wrongdoing has been established, and possible sanctions range from a warning to suspension.
