One month after the massive arrival of migrants in Ceuta, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez stated that investigations are ongoing to understand this influx. He specified that no foreign intelligence services had indicated Moroccan involvement in the situation. At the end of July, over 70,000 migrants reached Ceuta, resulting in dozens of deaths, although the majority returned to Morocco shortly after.
