Spain: Thousands of protesters demand Pedro Sanchez's resignation

On Saturday, thousands of protesters marched from Cibeles Square to the Moncloa arch demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez over his handling of the migration crisis in Ceuta and calling for new elections. The crisis was triggered in late July when around 72,000 migrants, mostly from Morocco, forcibly entered Ceuta, a Spanish enclave, with about 5,000 still present, including 1,200 minors. The influx strained Ceuta's resources, which has a population of approximately 84,000.
