Spain train crash: What we know after two trains collide

Two high-speed trains, one operated by state-owned Renfe and the other by private company Iryo, collided shortly after 09:00 on Wednesday between Mora and Orgaz, about 140 km south of Madrid. At least 30 people were reported dead, with the toll expected to rise; more than 500 passengers were believed to be aboard the trains. The cause has not been confirmed, and Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez expressed support for the victims as emergency services responded.
