Special Funds: Blocked Vote Ignored, Government Strikes Back

The Senegalese government aims to overhaul the legal framework for special credits or funds, proposing the removal of the dedicated section in organic law n° 2020-07. It argues that these funds, originally allocated to sovereign missions, should also support social actions, which the Assembly opposes. The amendment plans to delete the last part of Article 14, transferring their management according to Article 67 of the organic law.
