State House Announces Mass Auctions of Unserviceable Vehicles, TVs and Furniture on June 23

State House announced a public auction of unserviceable motor vehicles, scrap metal, old tyres, televisions, broken furniture, and other items on June 23, 2026, starting at 10am at the State Department for Roads in Ruiru. Participants must pay a refundable deposit of Ksh50,000 in cash at the cash office of the Executive Office of the President at State House, Nairobi. The auction comes amid scrutiny of the Kenya Kwanza administration's renovation spending on State House, which has totaled approximately Ksh2.9 billion over two years.
